Events in Artist Growth
Overview
Workspace allows collaborators to create and manage calendar events with all relevant details in one place. Events are calendar entries for an Artist that can be categorized into different event types, each with specific fields tailored to that activity.
Event Categories and Required Fields
All event types share common required fields (marked with *) and then have specific additional fields:
Common Fields for All Events
- Tentative or Confirmed*
- Event Name*
- Location (Venue or Online)*
- All Day setting (Yes/No)*
- Date and Time settings
- Tags
- Event Notes
Location Options
- Venue
- Search for an existing location
- Or create a custom location (requires Custom Location Name*)
- Online
- URL Name
- URL*
- Time Zone*
Time Settings
- All Day option
- Start Date*
- End Date*
- Repeats* (Never, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly)
- Not All Day option
- Start Date/Time* (Time zone automatically set to venue's time zone)
- End Date/Time* (Time zone automatically set to venue's time zone)
Event-Specific Fields
Performance
Includes all common fields plus:
- Capacity
- Guarantee
- Merch Cut
- Guest Tickets
Promotion
Includes all common fields with no additional fields
Special Event
Includes all common fields plus:
- Capacity
Other Event Types
Marketing, Rehearsal, Travel, Misc, Hold, Digital, Creative, Session, Publicity, Release, Content, Commercial, and Brand all include the common fields with no additional fields.
Creating Events
- Click the orange + icon in the upper right corner
- If using Roster calendar, select the artist (Artist calendar defaults to that artist)
- Choose Event Type (default is Performance)
- Set Event Status (default is Tentative)
- Configure Date and Time:
- For all-day events: Keep "All Day" selected and choose date
- For multi-day events: Keep "All Day" selected and choose date range
- For specific time events: Deselect "All Day" and set start/end times
- Select Repeat Frequency if needed (default is Never)
- Complete all other relevant fields
- Click Save
Managing Events
- Click on the event you want to modify
- Click the three-dot icon
- Select Edit from the dropdown
- Update necessary details
- Click Save
Tips
- Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*)
- Time zones automatically set to the venue's time zone for in-person events
- Use the appropriate event type to ensure you capture all necessary details
- For recurring events, use the repeat functionality instead of creating separate events
