Organizing your assets

Assets can live in a few places, this article explains how they are organized and best practices.

Artist Growth lets you organize asset links into named sections, so your team can find the right photo, artwork, or file without digging through email. You can organize assets in two places:

  • Artist Profile — the Assets tab, for links that belong to the artist (press photos, logos, bios, EPK materials)
  • Projects — the Assets panel on the right-hand side of the project overview page, for links tied to a specific release, tour, or campaign
  • Profile for evergreen, project for specific. Put materials used across many projects on the Artist Profile. Put release- or tour-specific materials in the project.
  • Name sections by what people look for. "Album Artwork" is easier to find than "Misc."
  • Name links clearly. Include the asset type and date or version, e.g., "Hi-Res Press Photo – Fall 2026."
  • Link to folders when files change often. A shared folder link stays current as files are added.
  • Check sharing settings. Make sure the file or folder at the link is shared with your team, or they won't be able to open it.

Both work the same way: create sections, then add asset links into each section.

Organizing Assets on the Artist Profile

The Assets tab on the Artist Profile is the home for every link your team uses to represent the artist.

To create a section:

  1. Open the artist's profile from your roster.
  2. Click the Assets tab.
  3. Create a new section and give it a clear name (e.g., "Press Photos").
  4. In the Assets tab, find the section you want.
  5. Add a new asset link to that section.
  6. Paste the URL to your file or folder (Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, or anywhere your files live) and give it a name.
  7. Go to Projects and open the project.
  8. In the Assets panel on the right side of the overview page, create a new section.
  9. Name the section (e.g., "Creative Approvals" or "Final Masters").
  10. Add asset links to the section by pasting in each URL.

To add an asset link to a section:

Note: The Assets tab stores links to your files. It does not upload the files themselves.

Open question: confirm exact button labels and whether sections can be renamed, reordered, or deleted.

Organizing Assets in a Project

Every project overview page has an Assets panel on the right-hand side. It works just like the Assets tab on the Artist Profile, but the links stay with the project.

To organize project assets:

Anyone with access to the project can see its asset links, so the whole team works from the same set of files.

Asset Links vs. Task File Assets

Asset links organize where files live. Task file assets store the files themselves, with version history.

FAQ

Can I upload files directly to the Assets tab or panel? No. Both store links. To upload and version files, attach them to a task.

Will my asset links show on the Shareable Profile? You can choose to show or hide Assets when you set up a Shareable Profile.

Who can see project asset links? Anyone with access to the project. Viewers also need access to the file at the link itself.
